The physical processes associated with radiative transfer, convection, clouds, floor exchange, turbulent mixing, subgrid-scale orographic drag and non-orographic gravity wave drag have a strong influence on the large-scale flow of the ambiance. Analysis in atmospheric physics is focused on obtaining a deeper understanding of the physics of clouds, how they kind, how they evolve, how they rain, and the way they dissipate.
